Take the First Step

Hello!
I’m Kat.

Reaching out can be one of the hardest steps to take — I'm glad you're here. Fill out the short form below to tell me a bit about what's bringing you to therapy.

I review every submission personally and will follow up to schedule a free consultation call, so we can see if we're a good fit before your first session.

My Story

I believe curiosity is one of the most powerful tools we have — the willingness to get genuinely interested in your own patterns, rather than judge them. That's the spirit I bring into the room: exploratory, attentive, and never rushing you toward a version of healing that isn't yours.

Movement is part of how I understand change. I trained in dialectical behavior therapy, or DBT, through the Treatment Implementation Collaborative in 2017, and I've drawn on it ever since — not as a strict formula, but as a flexible toolkit that pairs especially well with anxiety and emotional overwhelm. DBT means I think in terms of skills, not just insight: practical, in-the-moment tools that help you move from being stuck in a pattern to shifting it. Change happens through practice, not just understanding.

As a highly sensitive person myself, I have a natural affinity for clients who feel things deeply — who are perceptive, easily affected by their environment, and often told they're "too much." I don't see sensitivity as something to manage. I see it as something to understand and work with.

Common Reasons People Seek Therapy

People often come to therapy with a mix of emotional, relational, and internal experiences that feel difficult to manage alone.

I work with individuals navigating:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and persistent self-doubt

  • Questions of identity and self-understanding, including gender-related experiences

  • Emotional overwhelm while appearing “high-functioning” on the outside

  • Burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and difficulty slowing down

  • Emotional sensitivity, intensity, or feeling deeply affected by stress and conflict

  • Low self-esteem and harsh self-criticism, even in the face of outward success

  • Difficulty understanding, expressing, or regulating emotions

  • Anger, shutdown, or feeling disconnected from yourself

  • Relationship patterns that feel draining, one-sided, or emotionally exhausting

Philadelphia office

I'm pleased to share that I'm now based out of a new office in Philadelphia. If you're in the area and would like to connect in person, I'd welcome the visit — feel free to reach out to set something up.
